National release of Screenworks Createability films on ABC iview
Nine inspiring and heartwarming short films, produced as part of the Screenworks Createability. Each of the nine films showcase an artist with disability living and creating in regional NSW. The release of this collection of short films coincides with International Day of People With Disability which will be observed on Saturday 3rd December 2016.

2017 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) grants supports projects across the Upper Hunter
The NSW government has announced more than $17,000 in small arts project funding to the Upper Hunter Region region. The funding was part of the NSW Government’s 2017 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) which allocated $245,000 to 80 country arts projects across the State. Read more....

Thank You Soiree
Our soiree to acknowledge the work done by the many arts and cultural groups in the Upper Hunter was attended by some seventy people who spent the evening chatting, nibbling and enjoying the entertainment by comedian Ethan Andrews, singers Eadie Limon, Maicey Limon and Sam Bell plus guitarist Dave Harvey. Many thanks to Upper Hunter Shire mayor Wayne Bedggood for his tribute to the volunteer arts and cultural sector.

Board news
At the recent board meeting James Hooke, chair of AUH, thanked board members Peter Bishop, Tessa Capsanis, Kathryn Wittmann and Amy Cooper, all of whom have resigned over the past few months. James welcomed new board members Katherine Sullivan representing the Dungog Shire community, Cr Sue Abbott representing the Upper Hunter Shire Council and Cr Danny Thompson representing Singleton Council.

Arts Upper Hunter will be closed from Thursday 22 December until Sunday 8 January. Our board and staff wish you safe, merry and creative break.
