Upper Hunter Theatre Forum. Saturday 12 September. 11am to 3.30pm. Singleton Senior Citizen Club, 1 Bathurst St, Singleton. 

Hosted by Arts Upper Hunter with support from Arts NSW, this forum is for actors, writers, directors, musicians, choreographers, theatre lovers, teachers - anyone interested in developing theatre in the Upper Hunter! Apart from the opportunity to share what you do with likeminded people from across the region there'll be four guest speakers.

Jane Kreis is the Director of the new NSW Theatre Network. Chris Bendall is the CEO of Critical Stages which tours independent Australian theatre. Amy Hardingham is the Artistic Director of Tantrum Youth Arts in Newcastle and Ken Longworth is the long time theatre writer and critic for the Newcastle Herald. Stones in His Pocket. Two shows: Thursday 10 September at Gloucester, and Saturday 12 September at Singleton.

This is a new Australian production of the multi award winning comedy by Marie Jones, directed by Chris Bendall (The Magic Hour), and featuring Sean Hawkins (Sydney Theatre Award Winner), and Grant Cartwright (Green Room Award winner). This comedy has played all over the world including a five year run in the West End.

Scone Short Film Festival. Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September at Senior Citizen's Centre, Oxford Road, Scone.
 All the films are Australian, with many award-winners and films that have screened around the world. The evening starts with refreshments and finger supper, then a diverse program of 9 short films, followed by coffee and slices. The $50,000 prize will be presented for the best work of literature, fiction or nonfiction, published in 2015 by an Australian woman. Read more....
Feral Photos Competition 2015 - entries close 30 September 2015
This competition held by Invasive Animals CRC, encourages people to capture creative photographic evidence of pest animals and the damage they cause. Read more....
Country Arts Support Program (CASP) - applications close 1 October 2015
CASP provides small grants up to $3,000, to arts and community organisations and local arts councils in regional NSW for short term, locally initiated projects. Read more....
