Song Writing Workshops with Amy Vee

 

In conjunction with the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music, Arts Upper Hunter is holding songwriting workshops in Singleton and Muswellbrook. The workshops will be run by Newcastle singer/songwriter Amy Vee.

Dates: Tuesday July 5 at the Singleton Youth Venue.
            Thursday July 7 at the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music.
Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Cost: $25 per workshop

As a writer and performer, Amy’s credits include the APRA/ABC Publishing Songwriters and Composers Recognition Award, MUSICOZ Artist of the Year, and a string of ABC Newcastle Music Awards, as well as finalist placings in the International Songwriting Competition, the UK Songwriting Competition, LA Music Awards, Australian Songwriter’s Association Song Competition and the Independent Music Awards. Pearl Red Moon selected as artist for Createability 2016.

Nine regional NSW artists with a disability will star in short films as part of Createability 2016 - a project for professional filmmakers to profile artists with a disability living and creating in regional NSW.

Pearl Red Moon is an established textiles, digital and mixed media artist with her own gallery in Murrurundi in the Upper Hunter.  Read more....

Community Building Partnership 2016 - applications close 22 July 2016

NSW incorporated, community based not-for-profit organisations and local councils are invited to apply for the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership program, which can fund: construction of new capital works, refurbishment, repairs and maintenance to existing capital facilities, and the purchase of capital equipment.  Read more….


Country Arts Support Program (CASP) - applications close 28 July 2016

CASP provides grants to arts and cultural groups, not for profit organisations and local councils in regional NSW for short term, locally initiated projects. The grants of up to $3,000 must primarily be used to employ professional artists or cultural workers. Projects can be in any art form including oral history. Read  more....
