President's Message

November is upon us, and we look toward the end of the year with fond memories and great anticipation.  We thank everyone who took the time to attend the Fall Festival Clambake a few weeks ago.  It was great to see our Community come together in cooperation, even though Mother Nature had other ideas.

Please join us on this Friday, November 6th, along with Tallmadge, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson and Kent area Chambers of Commerce, for "First Friday Networking ON THE GO."  This monthly event is held at Great Lakes Honda, 43 Pruitt Boulevard, Akron, 44310, from 8-9am.  It is open to all, but pre-registration is required.

Please get your nomination for 2015 Business Person of the Year to Abby before November 10th, and don't forget your 2016 Board of Directors ballot is due by November 12th.

We are pleased to host "Your Prosperity Picture" on November 12th.  This 11:30-1:15 luncheon will be at the Blue Canyon Restaurant, and is exclusively for members of Twinsburg Women in Networking (TWIN) and Solon Women in Business (SWIB).  Registration is required by Friday, November 6th, please.

Looking ahead, please save the December 17th date.  This will be our Annual Holiday Luncheon, featuring our "Business Person of the Year" Award!

Hopefully, as we enter the season of Thanksgiving, you will have the opportunity to be thankful for all that you have, and perhaps the opportunity to step forward to help others in our Community that need a boost. Click here to see local food pantries to donate to this holiday season!

Thank you for your membership, support and participation in the Twinsburg Area Chamber events.  A special Thank You to our active Board of Directors for all that you do to make our Chamber of Commerce the best!

Named 2015 NOACC Bright Star!
2015 Bright Star
Judy Caine, Prosperity N.E.O.

Last night we celebrated Judy Caine as our 2015 NOACC Bright Star! Judy's passion for our women's committee, T.W.I.N (Twinsburg Women In Networking) is one of a kind. She has dedicated an enormous amount of volunteer hours through this committee and is the brain child of one of our most successful events, our Annual Women's Expo. Without her, the committee would not be as successful and her passion is what makes her our 2015 Bright Star!

"Healthy Employees, Healthy Business: Easy, Affordable Ways to Promote Workplace Wellness" by Ilona Bray

The single most important asset of any company is its’ employees. Worksite wellness programs protect and enhance that asset.  In Healthy Employees, HR, medical and legal professionals help business owners and managers target the main health concerns in the workplace and implement low-cost or free programs to increase productivity, boost morale, lower workplace stress, and potentially lower health insurance costs.  Learn how to evaluate and target your workplace's main health concerns.  Develop fun, effective activities to improve employee health.  Motivate employees to stay healthy through mutual support and competition.  Leverage community resources for minimal financial investment and include health concerns in your plan related to nutrition, fitness and overcoming addiction and unhealthy habits.  If you are interested in establishing a program to enhance the well-being of your employees this is a valuable source of information to help get you started.
