Hello <<First Name>>

As you may have heard, our annual digital inclusion campaign, Get Online Week, will take place from 14-20 October. Thousands of events will take place in hundreds of communities during the week - you can register to hold an event for your customers, clients, residents or service users.

We understand not all organisations will have the resources or capacity to run their own events, which is why we’re offering grants for Online Centres, to help cover the costs of running additional activities during the campaign.

Event holders can apply for a grant of £200, £350 and £500 to help promote your Get Online Week activity locally and host an event that really helps people get more out of life online. Grants can be spent on things such as room hire, IT equipment, refreshments, staff or volunteer costs and marketing. Applications close this Sunday 18 August, so don’t miss out, apply for a grant today.

DIGITAL EVOLUTION CONFERENCE: HAPPIER. HEALTHIER. BETTER OFF.

As part of our mission to help get more people online, our conference Digital Evolution: Happier. Healthier. Better Off. will take place on Thursday 28 November at the BT centre in London. This year, our Chief Executive, Helen Milner will be chairing the day and talking all about how digital can help people to realise a range of positive outcomes.

The conference will bring together organisations from communities across the UK, including network members, delivery partners and a range of others. There will also be interactive sessions and networking opportunities to help you get the best out of the event.

It’s important to us that as many centres as possible are able to attend the conference and make the most out of the day. We are delighted to be able to offer up to 25 bursaries to cover the cost of the ticket and travel expenses.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: ACCENTURE 2019/20: FUTURE FRIENDLY SKILLS FOR WORK

We’re working in partnership with Accenture, to help support 1,400 people to re-skill and build their digital capabilities ready for future job opportunities. If you’re an organisation that supports people with digital skills relating to work and employment, we’re offering you the chance to apply for a grant of £2,800.

The project is aimed at individuals aged 30-50 with low, or no digital skills or confidence, who are interested in building digital skills for employment. The project will help deliver resources to participating Online Centres to improve their role in re-skilling local people. Applications close Friday 6 September at 5.30pm.
