Hello <<First Name>>

There’s just a month to go until our annual digital inclusion campaign, Get Online Week - taking place from 14-20 October.

We know many of you have already planned events across communities during the week but if you haven’t yet, you can register to hold an event for your customers, clients, residents or service users.

The website also has lots of event holder and supporter social media resources for you to use. You can find some handy tips here on how to make the most of promoting your event online.

Our marketing packs contain lots of exciting event materials and goodies, which you can see below.

Finally, this week’s Get Online Week star, Sam has maintained his independence by learning how to do his shopping online.

ONS CENSUS REHEARSAL - Wales, Scotland, East London

Earlier this year, we were awarded a contract by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) to provide support to people who lack either the skills or access to complete the 2021 UK Census online.

To get started, we’ll be trialling this support in 4 areas - Carlisle, Ceredigion, Tower Hamlets and Hackney - from 25th September to 17th November 2019. If you’re in these areas, or are interested to know more, take a look at our
website.
DIGITAL EVOLUTION CONFERENCE: HAPPIER. HEALTHIER. BETTER OFF.

As part of our mission to help get more people online, our conference Digital Evolution: Happier. Healthier. Better Off. will take place on Thursday 28 November at the BT centre in London.

We can announce we have two exciting speakers confirmed -  Liza Belozerova from Google and Magid Magid, Green MEP for Yorkshire and Humber and former Lord Mayor of Sheffield - and based on feedback, this year we’ve reduced ticket costs, so hopefully more of you can attend.

CITY & GUILDS ONLINE BASICS ACCREDITATION

We're pleased to announce that our City and Guilds Online Basics accreditation, accessed through Learn My Way, will now be available to all members of the Online Centres Network. This assessment can count towards a City and Guilds entry level 3 ITQ qualification.

To help new Online Centres to deliver the accreditation, we’re running a webinar regularly -  the next one being on
12 November  - which will talk you through what you need to know. If you would like anymore information, please contact our Learning Designer, Matthew Airey at matthew.airey@goodthingsfoundation.org.

All contacts in the Online Centres Network agree to receive the weekly newsletters when they sign up to join the network but if you think you shouldn't have received this email, then please let us know at hello@goodthingsfoundation.org or unsubscribe below.
