Thursday 31 October 2019

Hello <<First Name>>

We’ve recently relaunched our Specialist Networks. Following insight into our members’ reach and activities we decided to refresh our Specialist Networks to make them more tailored to our network. We wanted to make sure our Specialist Networks are relevant, current and truly specialist.

These networks are now open for you to join, if your work with people in your community fits into one of these areas:

  • Employability
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Housing & Homelessness - New!
  • ESOL
  • Learn My Way - COMING SOON!

By joining one of our Specialist Networks, you can benefit from all of the following:

  • Specialist training and sharing best of practice
  • Relevant Policy news from Good Things Foundation
  • Hearing about relevant events in your area of expertise
  • More frequent contact from us
  • Consultation when writing specialist bids
  • Hearing first about funding opportunities from Good Things Foundation
Please join us!
Join one of the above networks, by following this link and completing the short application form. We are particularly interested in encouraging Online Centres who took part in the Reboot UK project joining the Housing and Homelessness or Health and Wellbeing Specialist Networks.

GET ONLINE WEEK - WE'D LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK!

Earlier this month, over 1,200 centres took part in our annual digital inclusion campaign - Get Online Week. We’re keen to hear what you thought about our campaign and learn what we can do differently for next year. It’s also a great way to tell us exactly how many people you reached during the campaign so we can measure the national impact of Get Online Week and prove to people just how much of a difference you make.

Launch of Office session plans!

Our new Office programmes session plans can help tutors to deliver the Learn My Way course in a structured way. They have been designed to help you with preparation and to give you ideas for supporting your learners. The session plans focus on what people can learn, setting specific objectives and containing timed activities to help reinforce the course content.

Each plan is around an hour long and is designed to work as a classroom session, mainly for groups. However, if you see an activity that you like the look of, you can adapt the session plans to work for you and your centre. You must be signed in to Learn My Way to view the session plans.
