Hello <<First Name>>

It’s been great to see so many of our community partners host events for Get Online Week this week, across both the UK and Australia. There have been so many different types of events, from 1-2-1 training sessions and Learn My Way demonstrations to virtual bingo sessions and tea & coffee mornings - and so much more! Despite the current circumstances, it’s inspiring to see so many organisations adapt their events to help individuals with their digital skills remotely.

We'd like to say a big thank you from all of us at Good Things Foundation to everyone that has held events this week. The past 6 months have highlighted that we must all work together to #FixTheDigitalDivide and Get Online Week is a key part of this. With your contribution, you are helping us to work towards achieving our vision of a world where everyone benefits from digital.

We’ve included some social media highlights below that what we’ve spotted so far this week. Thank you to everyone who has shared pictures of their events. It’s not too late to share your pictures on social media @GetOnlineWeek - don’t forget you can use the virtual selfie frame and share your pictures using the hashtag #GetOnlineWeek

If you are wanting to attend an event, take a look at our Get Online Week map to find your nearest one.

The 2020 Tech4Good Awards showcased the amazing talent of many individuals who are using tech to make the world a better place. Lots of people joined the virtual awards ceremony back in September and you can now
watch the recording. The TV style show introduces the finalists and announces the winners in each category. Categories cover a range of different areas such as Digital Volunteer of the Year and BT Young Pioneer, plus many more.

You can also check out the website to see a
playlist of interviews with all the winners.
